Glenn Beck Boycotts Levis; Palin Household Now Wishing They Had Thought of That

September 21, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

Chicken Not-so-little is at it again. Former and future fear fomenter Glenn Beck is mad as hell at Levi Strauss & Co, and he’s not going to take it anymore. Beck has promised a personal boycott of the clothing company for their new ad, which Beck claims is guilty of “glorifying revolution,” comparing the scenes to "European socialists marching" and "a Palestinian kind of march."

“It’s hard to believe that a company associated with America and working class values would use global revolutions and progressivism to sell their products, but that’s exactly what Levis is doing in their new commercials. Unfortunately, they aren’t even trying to disguise their efforts to commit to the progressive cause.”

Meanwhile, even further down the ladder of cultural relevancy, Levi Johnston has written a tell-all book entitled Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs, in which the almost Vice President’s almost son-in-law Levi dishes on the Palin family...

Elizabeth Warren’s Class Warfare Decidedly Un-Warlike

September 21, 2011 | COMMENTS (1)

On a recent campaign stop, Massachusetts Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren spoke on America’s debt crisis and fair taxation without hyperbole, distortion or fear mongering. She didn’t refer to former President Bush as a myopic, self-aggrandizing reverse Robin Hood. She didn’t call anti-tax demi-god Grover Norquist a greedy, soulless ass hat. Good for her. No need to add to the coarsening of our political discourse.

"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. You built a factory out there - good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory. Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific or a great idea - God Bless! Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along...

Warren Buffett Calls Stubbornly Anti-Tax GOP ‘Pathetic,’ Is Hero

August 16, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

Warren Buffett followed up his justifiably widely-circulated New York Times Op-Ed, in which he discloses his personal income and points out that he pays a lower tax rate than his staff, with a visit to Charlie Rose. When the subject turned to the phalanx of obdurate anti-tax-never-ever-ever-pinky-swear GOP presidential candidates, Buffett pulled no punches:

That was pathetic… I mean, listen, I like Republicans. If you got Democrats on some core issue to them, they’d probably do something just as silly. But when they take that attitude, they are really saying, you know, “I want to win this primary.” They are saying, “The country be damned, I want to win this primary.

Buffett then expanded on his tax proposal for the unimaginably rich job creators:

Secessionist Rick Perry Threatens Ben Bernanke, Is a Hypocrite

August 15, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

Texas Governor and GOP presidential candidate spoke in Iowa about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, saying that his actions were tantamount to treason, which is a capital offense:

“If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I dunno what y’all would do to him in Iowa but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treasonous in my opinion.”

You know what else is treasonous, Rick? Secession:

Mitt Romney: Corporations Are People

August 11, 2011 | COMMENTS (1)

Multi-millionaire GOP Presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney adjusted his magic underpants, stepped onto the podium during a campaign stop in Iowa, and delivered his best Charlton Heston impression, saying that “Corporations are people.”

ROMNEY: There’s various ways of [preserving Social Security and Medicare’s solvency]. One is we could raise taxes on people.
AUDIENCE: Corporations! Corporations!
ROMNEY: Corporations are people, my friend.
AUDIENCE: No they’re not.
ROMNEY: Of course they are. Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people. Where do you think it goes?
AUDIENCE: It goes into your pocket!
ROMNEY: Whose pockets? Whose pockets? People’s pockets. Human beings, my friend...

Stunning Video Shows London Rioters Sounding All Teabaggerish

August 9, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

Several years ago, a bunch of bankers decided that they weren’t making enough money. So, with the imprimatur of the President, Congress and the Federal Reserve, they decided to package the American Dream ™ to prospective homebuyers that couldn’t afford The American Dream ™, and before The American Dream ™ began rotting on the vine, they injected that filth into the entire world’s financial markets like a toxic Twinkie rotting from the inside out, which fucked everyone over, necessitating austerity measures across Europe.

So, these fucking looting idiots in London decided they were going to steal flat-screen TV’s from Currys Digital department store in order to even the score.

That bit of specious reasoning sounds eerily familiar.

Mark Stone of Sky News shot this amazing footage of looters in the Clapham Junction neighborhood of London, asking “Are you proud of this?...

Stupid Poor People Ruin Everything (But They Make Cool YouTube Videos)

August 1, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

Union-backed Commie Pinko Socialist Marxists strategic organizing group Change to Win has produced a video that illustrates how the Plutocracy is strangling the working class, clearly and succinctly making the argument that “it’s time working and middle class Americans use our strength in numbers to reclaim the American Dream.”

And yes, we know that sounds boring, especially when there are planking pictures to look at, and de-autotuned Rebecca Black videos to watch (no, we’re not giving you the link…find it yourself, lazy), but it’s a really fucking cool video…and it’s only 3:26 long…and it has Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson and Hansen (kids are still into them, right?)

OK, not really. But watch it anyway.

Shepard Smith Goes Off The Reservation at Fox News, Asserts GOP Moving Goalposts on Debt Crisis

July 26, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

FOX News anchor Shepard Smith, who along with fellow anchor Chris Wallace represents the Balanced in Fair and Balanced, went off script today when describing the House Republican's tactics in the current debt ceiling debate, asking of Obama, "Why in the world would he allow this to go six more months and have to deal with this again? ‘Cause he knows what the political opposition is going to do, they’re going to move the goalposts like they do every time."

Meanwhile, Speaker of the House John Boehner continues to hold poor, defenseless baby panda Yin Yin* hostage.

Op-Ed: An Apologist Propaganda Piece for the Conservatives

July 19, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

We here at Estate Five realize that our entire website is pretty much one big Op-Ed piece, but here’s one anyway. It’s in response to the Huffington Post article Why GDP Growth Has Not Provided Jobs Yet by Sageworks, Inc. CEO Brian Hamilton:

Brian Hamilton has posted another defeatist apologist propaganda piece for the conservatives. The whole rant about government regulation (“interference with their operating environment”) being responsible for unemployment is a complete diversion from the real problem of lack of demand.

The conservative tactic of blaming continued unemployment upon business’s fear of government regulations such as healthcare, taxes, and environmental laws is pure hogwash. It is a cynical tactic designed to take advantage of the fears and distress of the voters in order to dismantle the necessary and appropriate constraints on business, the appropriate generation of tax revenue necessary to maintain government, and development of social programs that benefit our citizens as a whole. This is a very familiar tactic of taking advantage of people’s greatest pain and fears to stampede them into supporting policy decisions which accrue to their individual disadvantage...

Filthy Earth Day Communist Hippies Brainwash Innocent American Children

April 25, 2011 | COMMENTS (0)

The New American has uncovered an insidious plot to convert America’s children into Communist revolutionaries. The startling expose points out that the date of Earth Day was chosen as April 22nd to coincide with the birthday of Vladimir Lenin, the late Soviet leader and staunch environmentalist who notoriously promoted green economic policies to ensure a clean, sustainable future.

The shocking anti-capitalist indoctrination of Earth Day supporters was caught on film at the Riverwood Elementary School in Tennessee in a song with lyrics such as, “Boycott, petition, let the big business know/that if we mess it up here, there’s nowhere else we can go.”

Exposing the truism that environmentalism is by nature anti-capitalist, and could never lead to innovation or profit, Earth Day Truthers point out that proceeds from the American-made Chevrolet Volt, Motor Trend Magazine’s very first electric Car of the Year, will be sent directly to Comrade Obama for the greater good.

Similarly, the recent announcement that Google will be purchasing 100.8 megawatts of clean, renewable energy from NextEra Energy Resources’ Minco II wind farm, in addition to the 114 megawatts of wind-generated power from NextEra’s Story II wind farm in Iowa drives home the anti-capitalist bent of renewable energy, as Google is expected to funnel its profits into collective farming plots across the U.S.

This video is just the tip of the not-really-shrinking iceberg for these dangerous Leninist environmental radicals, who seek an “end to human procreation,” and who are using “our tax money to indoctrinate our children into hating their parents if they serve meat to the family.”

The Green Education Foundation hang themselves with their own words...
